Changeless

While I liked the novel overall, it wasn't nearly as funny, entertaining, or as intersting as the first. Alexia was still a great heroine, smart, witty, always sharp. Connal is a bit more of an ass than I remember, but at least Alexia can take his barbs and return them. Good for them.
I couldn't really stand Ivy or her sister. I wanted to slap both of them every single time they appeared on the page. Madame Lefoux was an interesting character, though lacked trustworthiness. The other new characters were pretty meh. I missed Lyall and Lord Akeldama.
I see we're moving towards a more serious plot in which Alexia's life may be in serious danger as we learn more about her kind. I'm betting her father is alive.
I was a bit shocked by the ending, but really the way they carry on about how "practical" their marriage is and that they didn't marry for love, no wonder Conall is instantly distrusting. What a cad!!
I will defintely be reading the next book.
