Sword of Kings
by Bernard Cornwell
I've been on this journey with Uhtred and Company for awhile and certainly enjoy Cornwell's fictionalized version of the formation of England. As we move toward the conclusion of the series, I'm grateful that we've gotten a chance to spend time in Uhtred's later years. I think Cornwell does a decent job ensuring realistic capabilities, and ensures that the same bumps and bruises the young warrior would have shrugged off, now hinder him appropriately, though the later chapters suggest some liberties in this area.
