And Then She Vanished by Nick Jones
4.0

Joseph Bridgeman was winning his little sister Amy a bear at the fair in the 1990s. He only looked away from her for a second, but that was all it took for her to disappear; no one has seen her since. A friend recommends Joseph set up an appointment with Alexia Finch, a hypnotherapist, to help deal with the guilt that has caused Joseph’s life to fall apart. While practicing the techniques she taught him, Joseph discovers that he has the ability to time travel. This gives him hope and a new goal: travel back to the night Amy disappeared, find out what happened, and save her.

I love a good time travel story, and this one did not let me down. I enjoyed learning the rules of time travel alongside Joseph. The characters were all well developed, and the pacing of the story was on point. Ray Porter did a wonderful job narrating the book, although it bugged me that he gave Joseph an American accent when everyone else had English accents, as the book is set in England. The epilogue did a fantastic job setting up the sequel, which I have already checked out from my local library!
