The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly
5.0

A terrific read by Michael Connelly, with two of his main characters, Mickey Haller and Harry Bosch. The court room scenes are particularly riveting, with Haller sharing his schemes, triumphs and failures. They are well summed up with the first sentence of the novel, "Everybody lies."

Interestingly, Haller is the story teller and Bosch comes off as crabby and manipulative, very different from the novels in which Bosch is the main character. Bosch continues to get less and less sympathetic a character as he ages.
