multiple wong kar-wai, haruki murakami, & kafka mentions amidst beautiful, atmospheric writing featuring travel and including stories interwoven throughout the interesting conversations between the two main characters AND a before sunrise mention at the end.......... this is literally everything i could ask for in a book. instantly one of my favorites. might have developed a slight obsession
