Speak: The Graphic Novel by Laurie Halse Anderson
5.0

This is an excellent adaptation of the original novel. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the graphics add another dimension to the story, especially for her silent days. They also do a good job of capturing her emotions and feelings—the melting skin, the blank faces, the shadows...The content of this book—rape—is not an easy topic, but it is one that needs to be addressed.
