A Wraith Beneath the Tides is the first book by Emilia Jae that I’ve read, but it definitely will not be the last! The world building in this book is exciting and intricate and the story is unique and action packed from start to finish. I love when the FMC is the villain and Esmyra is everything that I want from an FMC - smart, strong, and powerful, with a healthy dose of feminine rage. This book has some of my favorite tropes such as enemies to lovers, forced proximity, he falls first, and slow burn romance. There are so many secrets, lies, and dangerous twists and turns in this story that it keeps you engaged and on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait to read what happens in the next book!
