ARC Review ✨️
☆Liam & Alana♡
They're childhood friends with some old feelings that just might not be so old after all. Alana has just ruined her Christmas plans by saying no when her now ex-boyfriend proposed. Now she's dreading going home for the holidays and dealing with her parents and the small town gossip goers. Liam isn't very excited about the holidays either. An old injury caused him to call it quits on his professional ice hockey career. If that isn't bad enough, his girlfriend of 5 years also just broke up with him. He's also tired of dealing with everyone's judgment. At the airport, they end up running into each other, and he sees an opportunity to ease their holiday's. They're going to tell everyone they recently reconnected and began dating. Easier said than done when their feelings they both ran from start to resurface.
I can't get over how amazing this story ended up being. Especially for a debut, it was perfect. Sophie's writing was simply the best, and I enjoyed every bit of it! The characters are so relatable. I mean, who wants to deal with their families' questions and judgment, let alone around the holidays. I know I don't! It also puts family dynamics and the struggles everyone faces daily when dealing with it. Overall, this was such a great story, and I can't wait to see what the author will come up with next!
Tropes:
♡Holiday Romance
☆Debut novel
♡Fake dating
☆Childhood friends to lovers
Thanks so much to the author and Love Notes Pr for the ARC!
