5 ๐ during my initial read through as a teen.
4.5 ๐ now. Still a fantastic read, thoroughly gripping. Definitely dark. The beginning is a little rough, the darkness is intense and some topics are touched on that might be too graphic for younger readers (like my 11yr old brother I originally bought this book for. Whoops)
At times itโs hard to follow, with frequent POV changes & time skips. But Azoth/Kylerโs character arc was a thrill to follow. Iโm curious to see how his story continues in the sequels.
