I struggled to get into this one a bit, but once I did it was a truly captivating read. Part II was so well-written, so heartbreaking and painful, that it made going back to the main plot in Part III seem not as interesting. I still absolutely loved this book, and I think it is an important (and topical) reminder for everyone of the horror of the Holocaust and the monstrosities lurking within us.
