It's been a while since I finished a book that actually disappointed me. This one wasn't a total failure, but it left a lot to be desired. Pros: Good writing, good detail, good story structure, good character profiling, good basically everything. Cons: Nothing really stood out. The book outed itself as a horror novel early on, but didn't actually scare me at all. This is a short review because I really can't think of anything else to say... it started out well, and then slowly deteriorated as the novel went on. What's more, the ending took all the wind out of the book's sails. It was okay, and I didn't hate the book, but I don't think I'm going to be coming back to it anytime soon. Due shows promise, I suppose, but this one just isn't for me.
