A review from the cover that I love, "A love affair so richly and attentively imagined it carries the grace and gravity of memory itself."
Thirst for Salt is one of my favorite novels I have read all year. It's a nostalgic and at times heartbreaking reflection on all the ways love erodes and endures-- much like the sea, the backdrop for most of the novel. Madelaine Lucas is so talented, the imagery alone is so delicate and beautiful it truly makes my heart ache. I initally picked this book up because I was drawn to its cover, never did I think it would move me as much as it did. I will certainly be thinking about it for the months to come.
