 I needed a book starting with P to finish my alphabet book read for the year and nothing was striking my fancy. When I checked my recommended ARCs, this title and cover definitely jumped out at me and I am happy with my choice as this book was very interesting. I liked the writing and the level of stakes seemed just right for the story. You got a little snippet into the lives of each character because it made all of them a little more likable and interesting. I personally am not into divination of any sort but learned a good bit about it and the different methods used- it would be difficult not to. The mingling of the supernatural with science was an intriguing concept and the conflict between nature and technology made for a great read.
