Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, Her Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed by Lori Gottlieb

4.0

Teetering on the edge of 3.5 but I'll round up. This book has a lot of great stories about humanity and interesting tidbits about therapy in general, and Lori Gottlieb is generally an engaging writer if a bit smarmy and self-important. I will say the middle was way too long and I found myself losing interest a few times before suddenly getting reeled back in by one of her compelling observations (enough to persist with the reading). So overall, I'd recommend this book - I learned a few things and took the time to reflect on others, which generally serves as enough to tip the barometer in favor of read (vs skip).
