Overall this book was a fun read, but nothing really special. It was mostly fun for the dark romance elements and the characters were interesting enough. Overall, I didn't find the writing, especially in terms of character development, to be that engaging or interesting. I also didn't really get a strong sense of chemistry between the main characters - the banter felt a little off to me. I wish there had been more worldbuilding and information about the society of Olympus as the modern twist on that was interesting to me, and I wanted to learn more about how the society functioned/came to be.
This could have to do with the fact that I wasn't the biggest fan of the narrators for the audiobook - the voices and accents were just a little off for me, especially when they were speaking in the voice of another character (i.e. when the Hades narrator was reading Persephone dialogue), it often sounded like a caricature or like they were doing a funny imitation of the other person's voice, which pulled me out of the immersion.
