We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

i should've read this when i was 16 and not knowing the major twist. it was a nice read purely because i DONT read, im not a reader, but it had a lot of traits i didn't like anyways. for example the line breaks and cadence's fairytales. also didn't like the complete lack of character the cadence had and actually most of the characters were pretty dull. doesn't mean i didn't cry at the end- i have a big heart is all. I do think it did a great job evoking the summer feeling through the descriptions of food throughout the book, it was a major standout for setting the scene for me.

as u can tell idk how to review books, this is more a diary entry than a review. Overall, if u want to read it dont expect anything other than a book written for teenagers. its poor at delivering any message throughout the book and if there is one its so shallow. if u like reading about mysteries unfolding then ig thats the allure of it if anything.
