The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen

More like 2.5 stars.

This was a pretty good book. You don't usually see a protagonist with a disability, and I thought it was handled well, though maybe others will have differing opinions.

I will say that I thought the subplot with
SpoilerHartley's biological father was introduced way too late and wrapped up way too quickly/neatly. And I still think he got off too easily for hooking up with Callaghan one night and then PDA-ing with Stacia in front of her the next morning. I liked how Callaghan tried to move on from him, dropping her econ class and even picking up water polo. For a moment I had hopes for her and Daniel! But alas.

Also, sometimes the dialogue veered into "I don't think people really talk like this" territory.
