It might be my own fault for reading A Soul To Keep after this and had a book hangover...

Some of the things I didn't like in this book is the Heroine. She went from "He's so hideous, so ugly" to "He's so tall and attractive and hot" in the space of a single chapter (and there is no time jump here too). Insta-love? You could argue it isn't, as Doug did show his prowess to her and might have changed her mind.

Characters (side and main) are flat and one-dimensional. There's not much angst, so us crack-loving angst readers will get nothing from this.

However, if you like a Hero that has a handicap (Doug is mute) and spicy af scenes, low stakes, and a nice quick read, this monster fcker book if perfect for you.
