The Anthropocene Reviewed: Essays on a Human-Centered Planet by John Green
5.0
One of the best books I’ve read in years I think for me personally. This was not a classic story with a plot and characters, but rather a reflection on life and the ways in which we see it not as it is, but as we are.
I am someone who feels everything with great depth, and this book really validated that for me. This allowed me to slow down and appreciate the relationships I have with others, as well as those I have learned from and outgrown. In honor of that I have no choice but to raise a glass and remember old acquaintances, and to also enjoy all 12,395 times I get to look at a tree.
I think everyone should read this book.
