I do think that this was the best one of the series so far! I don't think the couple themselves were as interesting as some of the previous pairings, but this book struck a better balance between plot and characters. The length was spot on for the material, but despite that it was still a slower read than I anticipated. The stakes felt a lot lower than previous books, and I'm not entirely sure why. This was the first book that wasn't the core family, and maybe that had something to do with it. However, all of the original characters featured quite heavily in this book and that was a lot of fun! Overall, I'm a Lucy score stan and will definitely continue the series.
