I’m normally all for the romance but with this book I truly loved the family aspect and the ups and downs of raising a toddler in a single parent home more. Every scene with Jack in it was precious, even when he was having his big feelings. His sass was absolutely adorable.
Matty is a pretty overbearing parent but I think the author did an amazing job explaining why. He’s just a single dad doing the best he can to raise his son. He was lonely and grumpy but soften up once his sunshine Harper made his way into his heart. Harper was pure sunshine. He handled things with poise and was so kind.
I really liked Hannah’s character as well. Her and Matty were wonderful co parents who found a way to raise their son that worked for them. They always put Jack first. The rugby boys were also terrific brothers and there for Matty. They honestly gave the best advice were super supportive. I’m excited for the next book in the series.
