I really enjoyed reading this book. As a long time Star Wars fan, this is the kind of story that should be told in the medium of a novel. It truly is the story of every day people and how they could join the rebels and the empire. It pull back a layer of understanding that I think is important, but there's no need to overly focus on in film. It gives a really interesting and needed insight into both how the Empire recruits and propagates its message to their people while also giving a beautiful friends to lovers to enemies kind of story that I didn't expect. I only wish it was longer. It was so character focused that it made me wanting so much more. I wanted to see all that in-between time.
