This was really good! There's fake dating and a super cute romance. And it's a lot about finding yourself and standing up for yourself, and complicated family relationships. Chloe's parents frustrated me SO MUCH (which was definitely the author's intention) but there was also a lot of nuance to the relationship, which was done so well. One of the things that annoyed me was that Chloe's mother constantly made small body-shaming comments, it was definitely written as something that's wrong, but I just wish the MC addressed it a little more?
Overall, this was a really great and fun contemporary that dealt with some really important topics as well!
