Never have I ever seen such a deep and riveting story that has its setting in only one place. How do the main characters only exist in one setting and still come off as an cohesive and amazing story? It's from the rich and complicated histories of the characters that build off each other. This is such a good enemies-to-lovers story, with maaasssive opposites attract elements woven into their characters.
The ML and FL are absolute foils of each other, both societally and emotionally, and they play off each other so deliciously. Their background is so intertwined without them even realizing it because they share one thing in common: surviving. You don't even realize that the whole story's setting is only in one place: a boat, but their flashbacks to their histories, their perspectives and reflections on what they've been through expands the story's world. Amazing writing, and superb art. Absolutely heartbreaking. Every movement, every exchange of glances, every single interaction the ML and FL had affected me deeply, but the happy ending made it worth it!
