This Will Only Hurt a Little by Busy Philipps
5.0
This book was so thematically strong, so consistent, with such a powerful voice throughout. Busy's story is alternatively hilarious and heartbreaking, and she has a real knack for telling a cohesive story. It isn't easy to tell the story of how you became famous, how you got from there to here without just hitting all the high notes and sounding like you're humble bragging page after page after page. Busy managed to authentically tell HER story, not the story of how she became famous, but the story of how she BECAME, and who she is at heart. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love with her and her voice. This is easily one of my favorite memoirs I have ever read, and as you can see I have read a LOT of them.
