This is a nice cliché mafia arranged marriage romance, though I enjoyed the first half way more than the second. The h was too easy in forgiving the H. I really hoped for a good grovel from the H. I was gonna dnf after our main couple turned so lovey-dovey and forgets what the H did but I’ve dnf too many books already so I was skimming the second half part of the book instead. Didn’t care much about the twist and the villain was kind of obvious from the start. Characters all feel so flat, well except maybe the little Vida, and Mateo. But who named their kid Vida? (It means Life in Portuguese and Spanish, unless there’s another meaning I’m missing) Is this a common name? All in all, a quick read for a long boring day in celebration of another week of lockdown.
