Unfortunately I didn’t like this book as much as I thought I would. Maybe it was because I was listening to it so I noticed it more but I’ve never heard so many similes in my life. And some of the similes were just awful 😭 “the air was as thick as soup” (soup really isn’t that thick) and “as sad as newly chopped wood” (paraphrased; but what does that even mean) like girl what it’s just unnecessary words to take up space 😭 and the fmc was such a loser like girl get a grip. If you took a shot every time the author used “like” or “as” and/or the fmc said “no,” you would have alcohol poisoning and need to get your stomach pumped
