White Noise by Don DeLillo

3.0

I expected this to be a really great read since a) it was recommended by a bookstore seller who'd mentioned other good titles b) it was mentioned and quoted thoroughly in an essay by David Foster Wallace. Maybe it was all the hype but it didn't really make much of an impact on me. It seems a bit pretentious as if the writer is trying too hard at being 'postmodern'. Or maybe that is what postmodern lit is like.
