My Twentieth Century Evening and Other Small Breakthroughs: The Nobel Lecture by Kazuo Ishiguro

5.0

Ishiguro crafts his fiction with so precision, it’s no surprise he also excels at personal speeches. This is about his reflections on novels, Japan, music, being young and in love and having an empty room with just a mattress on the floor. It’s really beautiful and he articulates so well why, in my opinion, books will always have their place. This is 40 mins long and I can’t recommend the listen enough. So peaceful.
