Blue Bloods: The Graphic Novel by Robert Venditti, Melissa de la Cruz
3.0
Another great, graphic novel addition to a prestanding series! One aspect that prevented a 5 star rating from me was the character drawings: none of the characters were depicted as I imagined them in my head (except for maybe Oliver). I imagined Sky with a little more spunk, Jack with nicer hair and more boyish features (not the default "strong, hard jaw" of many heroes), Mimi with more of a classic look, Bliss as more curvaceous, and Dylan as more of a badass than a mainstream "rocker". But I guess none of this was the artist's or Melissa's fault.
I don't really remember the exact story--it's been a while since I read it--so I can't say how accurate the graphic novel is. However, if Melissa had anything to do with it, I'm sure it's true to the original. Overall, it was a nice addition as I said, but I like my imagined characters better. I've yet to decide if I will be continuing the graphic novels (although I most likely will).
