I love Jaymin Eve's Supernatural Prison series, so I always get excited when she publishes new books related to the main series.

And Supernatural Academy: Year One didn't disappoint!

Maddison is a 22-year old who hasn't stopped running since she was 17 and witnessed her mother's murder. On the day of her birthday, while she is dying her hair pink (cool right?), a woman finds her and tell her she's not human, and Maddie needs to follow her to the academy for supernaturals. Here she meets vampires, shapeshifters, mages and the Atlantean five. Three mages, a shapeshifter and a vampire who descend from Atlantis. But what catches Maddie's eye is Asher, the Atlantean five leader.

The bitchy squad can't miss in this academy book, but Maddie doesn't let them step on her, always fighting to protect herself and her friends.

Maddie might also fine out that she isn't just a human as she thought. She might be one of the original Atlantean prophesied to save her people and destroy the god Solaris.

I'd recommend this book to whoever loves an academy love romance intertwined with magic and supes. The love story between Asher and Maddie also doesn't happen overnight, but it takes time to build and strengthen.
