Their Finest Hour and a Half by Lissa Evans

It is, perhaps, not as outstandingly amazing as the others? But still genius and will stay with me well beyond the end of the book. Was especially swooning at the way in which the book shows how the impact of the first world war still reverberated so strongly in the lives of people in the 1940s, something so often lacking from WW2 home front books.
