I don’t really enjoy romantic comedy, so this book wasn’t quite my cup of tea. It didn’t help that I found a rivalry (etc) between a prince and a president’s son to be a bit played out. Despite these major sticking points, I enjoyed the read, which should tell you something about how enjoyable this book is. I had spots where I’d roll my eyes and it would lose me, but for the most part, I did have fun. Anyone who is even lukewarm on romantic comedy will probably enjoy this book.
Graphic: Panic attacks/disorders
Moderate: Addiction, Drug use, Grief, Homophobia, Sexual content, and Rape
Loss of a parent, public outing, older person in position of power coercing an underling into sex which is then a secret for decades (this comes up as a reflection on the distant past toward the end of the book)
