The story started off well. The characters were predictable and generic, but the science was on point. There are a lot of loose ends and the ending seemed rushed, which I hate to see. A bad ending really ruins a book for me. The author clearly didn't know how to add romance to the story and added some weird attraction thing between two of the characters. It was really weird and awkward. Overall, I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't recommend it.
