What a disappointment. I loved the Beautiful Creatures series, and I really wanted a Ridley story. I thought this would her being a bad*** Siren who takes no prisoners. Nope. Wrong. She barely uses her powers in this book. The entire story is her feeling sorry for herself. I didn't feel all that surprised by any of the twists, and I never felt like anything particularly exciting happened in this book. The story and the characters just fell flat for me. I had some problems with the dialogue in the other series, but I could look past it. The terrible dialogue in this book, however, is really hard to get past. I won't be reading the next book in the Dangerous Creatures series. I think the Caster world should have ended with Beautiful Redemption.
