Funny, dark and sexy, this book was the perfect read to kick off the new year. Victoria explores reinventing herself while letting her imagination run wild with possibilities. The book raises an important question, can a person read too much?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Victoria's wild daydreams and made up scenarios. I especially enjoyed the erotic scenes, although this could have been slowed down a bit. Her husband Eric is the typically husband you love to hate: emotionally abusive, distant and with puffy nipples. But without realizing it, Victoria picked up some of his bad habits of judging and being repulsed by certain behaviors and parts of the body. She never even noticed how she was similar to the person she despised the most.
I never expected Eric to actually die in the book so it made me wonder how much did she have to do with it; how much planning went into it or did she really just get lucky? Was she Todd all along or did she just capitalize on it? Did she get Luke involved? I love that, that was left unanswered so that I can run wild with the possibilities.
