This book was pretty enjoyable. If I were to describe it like I would a movie of a similar type, it would be a popcorn movie/book. One that is not super deep but a fun ride nonetheless. It bears striking similarities to her Divide Series, so much so that about 15% into it I had to put it down for a while. But after reading a few other books of different genres I came back to it and enjoyed the rest of the journey.
I didn't find many deeper metaphors in the plot, and the characters are not super unique. It's a very alright space special forces novel with an interesting enough twist.
