“Quinn looked to the horizon as the cornstalks swayed with the breeze. The corn itself could have been waving hello, or it could have been breathing.”
As a huge fan of the slasher genre, this was a fun October read. It wasn’t anything super amazing or groundbreaking, but it was that perfect blend of campy and cheesy that you want from a good slasher.
This felt like a dumb 80s/90s slasher, complete with corny dialogue, insane premises, and wild and gorey slashers. It was campy and a little ridiculous. But it was also fun. A fun fast-paced and tropey horror that really doesn’t take itself too seriously at all.
