THE WAY I LOVE THIS BOOK.

Look, let's just all agree that Laura Pavlov is the Queen of small town romance. I absolutely fell in love with the town of Magnolia Falls in Loving Romeo and I only fell harder for the town and its people in Wild River.

The group of friends this series surrounds is the ultimate found family. The way these men look out for and support one another demonstrates the truest form of love and surrounding yourself with the right people.

Wild River delivers this incredible grumpy x grumpy dynamic that gives us ALL the great banter between Ruby and River. They seriously don't like each other, but they both love Ruby's father - the local bar owner, and the man who has treated River like a son. When he has a stroke, Ruby finds herself returning home to Magnolia Falls for the first time in a long time and she cannot seem to shake River. He's at the hospital where her dad is recovering, the bar where she is working until her dad is back on his feet, and everywhere else in Magnolia Falls.

Ruby and River's chemistry is undeniable. They hate each other, but they want each other - and they hate that they want each other. The relationship development was flawless. perfection. I loved every second of it. Their character growth was also fantastic. Ruby was so dead set on getting out of town and running from the problems that come along with her family (except her dad). River gives her a reason to want to stay. Except he isn't the only reason she wants to stay. I absolutely loved that Ruby didn't stay in Magnolia Falls just for River. She learned to set boundaries with her family, found something she was passionate about and able to turn into a career and developed some genuine friendships.

After going from "I don't do girlfriends" to "I'm obsessed with this woman and need her to stay with me forever", River messed up and made some assumptions he shouldn't have. He had a dumb boy moment that just makes you want to shake him and say you dumbass, what were you thinking! Only for him to make it up with the cutest grand gesture ever!

There were so many highlights in this book. I loved every moment of it and I truly cannot wait for more of this incredible found family.

A huge thank you to Laura and Valentine PR for the eARC.
