Walter Benjamin at the Dairy Queen: Reflections on Sixty and Beyond
by Larry McMurtry
This book is utterly nostalgic and definitely reinvigorated my desire to read more, learn more, and travel more. As someone with a connection to small west Texas towns I was charmed by McMurtry's astute observations on they mythological nature of the cowboy and the frontier, but as an avid reader I was equally taken with his loving descriptions of reading and amassing great amounts of literature. In some ways niche but in many ways universal.
