Witches, Faeries, Curses & Charming Princes. What more could you want?
This story was utterly magical. Once you get into the rhythm of things you just can't put it down. There are high stakes, slow-burning loves, and twists, turns & shocking revelations when you least expect them. I found myself laughing a few times too so that's always going to be a win-win!
Violet as a character is majorly flawed, and that's what makes loving her much easier. For the rest of the cast though, as good as they were, I just didn't feel connected to or feel anything at all for that matter, so the love story aspect was a little muted for me.
I wish there was more exploring the world too, it seemed to be set majorly in the same places, which are right next to each other, for the majority of the book and that was a little disappointing. Something I hope will be explored in the next installment.
Altogether though it was a fun read, I did love it and it was very enjoyable, it just missed out on some points.
I'm looking forward to seeing where the tale takes us next!
