From page 1, I was hooked to Trish Doller's 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧. I read it's entirety on the flight home from Florida and it was such a delight 😊 This is another one for my 12 Book Recs in 12 Months Challenge and I am so glad my friend suggested this one to me! I'm not sure I would have picked this one up on my own, but this has been a favorite romance read of 2023 so far.⁣

The book begins with a trigger warning for suicide and dives right into it. Anna is grieving her husband's death by suicide and decides to take a solo trip on their sailboat off the coast of Florida to the British Virgin Islands. After realizing she needs help on her journey, she meets Keane, a handsome sailor guide with a prosthetic leg. Still processing her feelings as a widow, Anna takes her time with Keane. I thought Doller did such a great job being sensitive to the pain and emotional well-being one must feel after having experienced such a profound loss, and I loved the dynamic between Anna and Keane. I also loved Queenie, the little stray that stole everyone's hearts (including mine) 🩷⁣

This was THE PERFECT vacation read, and I'm so glad I brought it on our trip!⁣
