Don't You Forget About Me by Mhairi McFarlane
4.0
Another amazing one from Mhairi that left me with the dopiest smile on my face (and even tears at times). It's definitely not a Rom Com like any of her other books, despite the blurb or the cover. This one follows Georgina on her journey of self forgiveness and healing, covering some pretty heavy topics like grief and sexual abuse. Mhairi writes with a perfect balance of Brit humor and sincerity all the while giving these weighty topics the awareness and honesty they're due. Georgina was such a relatable heroine. I loved all her quirky internal dialogues and some of her stories from her years as a waitress had me cackling aloud. Lucas was the perfect compliment to her and I was utterly charmed by the fact that he had a dog named Keith. This was such a good one, especially on audiobook, and I found myself listening to the last chapter twice, just because it was written so beautifully.
