Laura Lake and the Hipster Weddings by Wendy Holden

3.0

I really enjoyed this book, to be honest. It was a light read, and no insta love which is a huge bonus for me. Sure, Laura finds people attractive and has sex (with only one person, but still), but she doesn't fall in love.

The things that drag this book down, are for instance the drag that is the first few chapters. I found myself being uninterested in the life she had in Paris. Sure her grandmother is a fun character, but I wanted to know why the book got its name.
Another thing is how unrealistic it is. I'm sorry, but I've never heard of an unpaid intern getting such a big scoop. She might have been going along with one of the other journalists, but not on her own.
The last thing I'll mention is Laura's incredible naivety. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it bothered me that she managed to lose all her stuff on the first day, and also somehow not care about the extremely beautiful bag her grandmother got her. It bugs me to no end.

All in all, a fun read, and i might read the next book.
