Rune of the Witch
by Heather G. Harris
I've grown to love Amber DeLea, the background character, grumpy, lonely and sad witch of the Other Realm. I've loved her growth and seeing her become friends with Lucy and Jinx. Watching her grieve for Jack and hate Bastion has been fun too, but it was clear by the end of The Other Wolf #3, that Bastion is drawn to her and she to him, if reluctantly.
In this brief novella, Bastion comes to Amber asking for help, not for himself but for his daughter and Amber can never say no to a child in need. This was a lovely stand alone story, that made me want more Amber and Bastion.
