I wanted to like this because I love Dolly, but this was formulaic and tedious. The writing was acceptable but not great. No tries at simile, metaphor, not even an extended symbol that would have been easy with the music business. I'm thankful that I got this from the library. Easy read though, fairly straightforward, and no confusing parts. I'm so disappointed.
