David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants by Malcolm Gladwell

informative medium-paced

4.0

Goliath was 6ft 9in tall in today's world he would be recruited into the NBA had he been able to see.  The list of successful on the dyslexia list does not surprise me because some do not allow learning abilities to stand in their way; they learn in spite of their disability.
The story of Dr(s) Fryreight and Fry, child leukemia and the VAMP program I read about in the Emperor of All Maladies.  The author created Fryreight as passionate, but gave me no indication that he was ready for a straight jacket as illustrated by Gladwell.
Many are going to have issues with his Dr. King stories:  joking about children in jail; that does not sound right.  The photo of the boy and the German Shepard that image has lived rent free in my head since childhood, but admittedly I born shortly before Dr. King's death.
