The writing for this book was unnecessarily wordy. The author added irrelevant descriptions and details that- in my opinion- distracted from the story.

I think it’s very difficult to successfully execute a storyline with jumping timelines, and unfortunately, I think this book missed the mark.

The twist at the end was lackluster.
George’s character and his relationship with Lucca was severely underdeveloped. I barely bay an eye at the final reveal

The last 1/3 of the book is the best part, but it’s a slow journey to get there.
