I wanted to like this book more than I ultimately did.  It was suggested to me by my librarian who knows me well, and I was attracted by the blurb and the cover, but something about the writing style (or possibly the translation) left the dialogue in particular stilted and unnatural

I found the premise very interesting but was ultimately disappointed by the ending which seemed like a cop out
