Pride and Prejudice and Pittsburgh by Rachael Lippincott
3.0

Pride and Prejudice and Pittsburgh was a cute time travel romance.

Likes: The back and forth POV, though at times I wish I could have stayed with one character for more than one chapter at a time.
The realistic slow build of affection and regard between the two main characters. Despite everything taking place in less than a month, it took until the last few days for both characters to truly understand and accept their feelings.
The acknowledgement that sapphic romances did take place in history, even though we don't hear about too many of them.

Dislikes: The sheer amount of "handsome supporting male cast." It was a bit ridiculous, and completely unbelievable, that so many men from 1812 would be affable and understanding about a woman being so capricious about their advances AND on top of that, their being second to a sapphic romance. Also, the plot didn't need all of these male characters to rescue or assist the protagonists, one possible "love interest" would have sufficed. Though, I admit that it felt nice to read a period piece where more people were rooting for the main characters romantic attachment than against it.

Things I'm mixed about: The ending. Mr. Montgomery. I just have so many questions I'd like answered but it wasn't the time/place for it, and I understand that.

All in all, I enjoyed this book, it read very quickly, and I felt happy and satisfied when it ended.
